The founder Ms. Sachiko TOMINAGA participated in many international events such as girlguides international camp when she was young, and she was inspired by the international relationship and cooperation. Then she engaged in education development as one part of girlguide activities. Her experience brought her to international cooperation field and she decided to establish “international Volunteer foundation”(A predecessor of IV-Japan) in 1988.
In the beginning, we started a regional exchange with Laotians who came to Japan in Omiya City, Saitama. As we exchange deeply, We came to know each other.
